I have a split bamboo rod. maide by KIRAKU & Co.INC.  branded GRAMPUS. this is a six in one rod. every one who looks at it asked if it was ever used. It appeard to be never used. It came to me when my father inlaw passed away. it was purchased some time around 1942/5 in japan

Hi Phil,

It's a nice rememberance of your father in law and a great conversation piece.  Unfortunately a lot of those bamboo rods came back after the war and they weren't very good quality.  They look nice and are sometimes in a nice case, but they aren't very valuable to collectors.  I'd say you may get anywhere fronm $40 to $100 on e-bay.
