H-I flyrod

I have a 3 piece H-I bamboo flyrod with the name "president" printed on it. It is 8'6" long. What weight of line was this rod designed for and what is the approx. worth?

Hi Richard,

There should be a three letter designation on the rod that will tell us what line should be used.

It would be something like HEH or HEG.  Then we could find the weight.

Unfortunately there were a lot of them made and they aren't worth a whole lot to collectors.  I'd say in the $50-$100 range if it is in good condition.

Joe Douglas on this site would have a better idea of the worth.
