1950s Spinners & Lures

Question
Around 1956-57, I used a small treble hook spinner called a "Metal Fly" in California.  It came in sliver and gold... or, brass. It looked like two small spoons place with the concave sides out and brazed together, and finished to look like two little wings.  It wiggled back and forth as you reeled it across the water.  Do you know anything about this lure?  It was wonderful for trout.  I don't even know the manufacturer but it was a winner!

Answer
Hi

I am not familiar with the bait your mentioning. Note: there are thousand apon thousand of small makers of fishing lures. I have been collecting since 1980 and still hear about new lure companies.

However, I will ask around some other collectors and see what I can find outn.

regards

Bob

Contacting other collectors, I have not been able to identify this bait by your description.
