Question
Hello,
I have some antique fishing lures that I have been trying to figure out where some of them came from, and if they have  any value.. I will send you some pictures, if you could help, that would be great! Thanks!

this one is a wooden lure i believe,or possible plastic. it has a company name on its belly, but I cant make out the words because it is worn.. It appears to say MOtsite Peddle plug. The o-t-t-e is faded on the first word, the second word is definitely peddle, and the last word is definitely p-l-u, but the last letter is hard to make out.

This one is wood, company name Kawtzky Lazy Ike-2. It has no eyes.

wooden lure, hand painted, glass eyes, screw eye hardware, no cup.

I am not sure if this one is wood, plastic, or what.. It almost loos like ivory under the paint. It is hand painted, painted eyes, cup and screw in hard ware.

Answer
Sorry for the delay, I missed the question notice in my email...

Hello

you have a nice group of bass fishing lures from the 30s thru 60s

001 is a millsite paddle plug
002 is a copy of a heddon river runt...I am not sure exactly from the photo
003 is a Helin Flatfish (over 40,000,000 made)
005 is a True Temper Shad (with over paint)
006 is a South Bend Bass Oreno (with over paint)
008 is a Pflueger Palomine - later version with painted eye (earlier version had glass eyes like the Bass oreno)
009 is a Heddon lure
011 is a Lazy Ike
012 is a Arbogast Jitterbug

Unfortunately your lures are in the $1 to $5 range. the best bait was the Bass oreno - in mint conditon would have been $30+, but with over paint, less than $5. 009 might do a little better (does it have a name on the bottom?)

As for care, not much to really do with them - just keep in a tackle box. If the wood lures were in excellent to mint condition I would advise to keep out of the water - since the varnish cracks over time and water will get to the wood which can expand and blow paint off.
