finwick fishing rods

Question
I have inherited several finwick rods custom made for my father. They are fly, spin casting and bait casting rods. I think they date form the late 50's and 60's. my question is are still good to use, should I use them or are they wall hangers

Answer
Hi Bob,   Fenwick rods are good quality rods and are still quite good to use.  You should be able to fish with them with no problems.  These are nice fiberglass rods made in the 1965 to 1980 time frame.  There are still many anglers who prefer to use the older Fenwick rods.

They are not real valuable, but they are not yard sale cheap either.  If they are in nice condition, they are probably worth $30-$60 each.  Certainly worth taking good care of and  enjoying.

I would not hesitate to fish with them.  Thanks,  Joe
