Spawning.

What month do bass spawn in West Virginia.

That is a tough question to answer. MOST of the time Bas sin West Virginia will spawn in mid May to Mid June with the bulk of the spawn on the no moon and full moon phases.. NOW there are general things that can speed up that time or slow it down. If water temperatures are not in the 60's then the fish will wait till the water rises to at least that temp to spawn. Prime spawning temp is 65 to 70 degrees for Largemouth and 55 to 60 for smallmouth.
Recently the fish started on the nest when water temps went into the 70's in April then a cold snap dropped temps to 50 again.. Fish pulled off the nest and waited. Water temps are now up again and fish are on the nest.
