Value of bamboo rod

I have a garrison 7"6" bamboo rod. It has 2 upper sections, 1 wrapped in red, The other green. It seems to be in excellant condition. I had a dealer offer me %3oo0 for it, but he said the finish eas a littli "tacky".

Do you have any idea what it be worth to a collector?ko2go

Without personally setting the condition of the rod (including if it has been restored) I don't give specific estimates. I am in Denver, You ? I also could not read you  what you paid , $3000 ? There is no reason for the finish to be tacky unless it was fresh.  I don抰 know Everett Garrison抯 wrapping colors but I find it hard to believe he used 2 different colors, could be but I am skeptical..
A Garrison rod is a very special rod and is worth thousands.
