Best Line Test for Bass Fishing in Weedy Florida Ponds

I am fishing a pond in central, Fl. not too big but also not that small...it is summer time, and hot, and the bass are biting horny toad's in the weeds. My brother and I both use 15lb. braided test. But that snaps too easy, what pound test should we be using? The weed cover is thick nearly 80% of the pond are weeds. thank you for your time.

Hi Austin; It is obvious that you need more than 15lb line in that heavy weed cover.  If the bass are big enough to break your 15lb I would go to 30lb.  That heavy line should not be a problem of spooking the bass in that heavy cover.
It may be a bit more difficult to cast than 15lb but it is worth the difficulty.  I hope you get some big ones.
