ZEBCO Reels: Are They Good for Budget Fishermen? | Expert Review

As a advergage fisherman and not alot of money to spend on fishing gear, what are your feelings on ZEBCO reels? good or bad? what do you recgomend?

The most important part of a reel is the drag system. You should have a smooth drag so that a running fish doesn't put undo stress on your rod or line and cause the loss of a fish of a lifetime. That said Zebco is a quality low end product and many people have used them with great success. I've owned a few of them myself.
