i have just come come across a shakespeare rod model 1340, it is in very good condition and was wondering how much it would be worth if u can help it would be great thanks, Tony

Hi Tony,

What you have is a Shakespeare 1340 SKP Superba Light 1931. I found very little on the Internet about the rod you have. I am not an antique fishing expert, so I really would not be able to say how valuable it is. Being that it is an 80 year old rod, it is probably worth something, but it may not be. It also will help you in that it is in good condition. I would strongly suggest you bring it in to a local antique dealer for appraisal. Sorry that I can't be of more assistance. Even if it is not worth much, keep it as an heirloom because I would bet that an 80 year old rod is pretty unique.
