St. Croix Fishing Machine 1976: Seeking Historical Information

I am searching for any and all information on my 1976 st croix fishing machine. st croix company said that little to no history can be found on the said item. I would appreciate your help in the form of additional information. Thank you for time.

I dont know the history of the reel, other than you can set the reel to cast out the same distance each time.
