martin james fishing rod

Question
Hi there. I have aquired a martin james antique fishing rod, I am not a fisher man but have done some reserch and I have a reg number from the rod and could realy use some advice on value and advertising, All of the rod and eyelets are intact as is the rubber bump stop at the base. The reg number is 860222. This was a freind of the family who has passed away and asked me to clear the garage out. I also belive its still in its orignal bag but the tag is missing I hope to hear from you and thanks for any help in assisting me to find a good home for this piece of fishing history.

Answer
Hello

The value of your rod will depend greatly on condition and type of rod. I would recommend this website to get an appraisal...

It sounds a bit like a surf fishing or trolling rod but hard to tell from your description.
