Old Heddon Bamboo Rod

Question
I would like to find information on a Heddon Split bamboo casting rod I have. It is marked Heddon written in spiral on the shaft and the number #250 at the base, it is about 5 1/2' long.

Thank you for your time.

This is an early Heddon bait casting rod - pre 1920 (I assume it says Heddons Dowagiac?). I am not sure how much information your looking for. Heddon was of the of big 5 fishing tackle companies coming out of the turn of the century (along with Shakespeare, Pflueger, Creek Chub and South Bend).

In terms of value, bait casting rods don't carry the same value as fly rods (the main interest by collectors). Price range would be $25 to $200 depending on condition, original bag and tube, etc.
