Haddon Black Beauty Rod: Value, Age & Bamboo Identification

I have a Haddon pal black beauty #75 8 1/2 L D-HDH its in pretty good condition I was wondering about what year its from and how much its worth and how do i tell if its bamboo or not I think it is

Hi Kodi.  Nice rod you've got there.  The Black Beauty is indeed a bamboo rod.  That rod most likely dates to the early 60's.  The HDH indicates it is a 6wt rod.  Condition is very important and can be difficualt to judge on bamboo without the practiced eye.  You also did not mention the number of sections and tips.  If everything is there (tube and sock as well) and all the secitons are full length and straight and in good condition I'd say it's worth $300 to $400.  I hope that helps,
