I would like some info on bamboo rods.

Question
Hey there, I would guess that you live somewhere around Jackson WY. I love that part of the country.

Anyhow, I found an old bamboo fly rod that was my grandfathers and haven't been able to find out anything about the rod itself.
The reel is an Horricks and Ibbotson autoreel.
The rod has a decal that says "Water riffle" in red letters on a gold background. It is 8' long and has 2sections and a spare tip section.
I have been unable to locat any info on this rod.

Can you help me out, or at least point me in the right direction?

Thanks much in advance.

Answer
Scott,

I am not familiar with bamboo rods or antique reels. If you search Google and Ask.com for Horrocks-Ibbotson and "antique fly fishing gear", you will likely locate more detailed experts on this subject. My specialty is knowledge of local waters and fishing technique recommendations for this region. Sorry.
