No knot eyelet

Question
Gary, this is in response to the question posed by a beginning fly fisherman.  I fly fished when I was younger and am trying to return to the past time.  The question posed by the other beginner was regarding how to attach the no knot eyelet to the float line.  I have the same problem and would like to no if there is a simpler method in attaching them.  I know using the no knot eyelet may be frowned upon by more experienced anglers but I'd still like to know if there's an easier method.  In short, you didn't answer the question.  Respectfully,  Thanks!

Answer
Tom,
First, there are two sizes of knot eyelets depending on what size line you are using. I have always used a pair of pliers holding the eye in one hand and with the other hand, firmly pushing the fly line onto the eyelet keeping it as straight as possible. If you make a mistake you can always remove it, clip the line, and start over.

I hope this helps,
Gary
