4+ ball bearings

Answer
I truly struggled with this answer. I see the Rod and Reel you mentioned and believe that they are excellent choices. BUT because of all the factors and different situations and personal preferences it is very hard to make a recommendation that would fit "YOU". After looking at the rod and reel that you recommended. Here is my recommendation as far as WHAT to look for as for BRAND most are so close in quality and workmanship that any of the higher end brands are the ones to consider first. 6 Ft is too small, 7.5 is just a little too long and 7 ft is about right for fish from 5-25lbs. I prefer a composite guide rod and I prefer a Cork Handle for sensitivity. ALSO a one piece is probably better for sensitivity since the connections on a two piece rod can become loose and you can lose some sensitivity. AS for Reels I prefer 6:1 or higher if your looking at a 30LB test type reel. 6+ and higher for Ball Bearings and definitely an anti-reverse handle. I also prefer a very "RESISTANT" material, I fish Saltwater so I prefer something that is made for the salt environment.  Make sure to match the reel to the rod Don't go too big on the reel if your going with a 7ft rod. the size you mentioned should match pretty well. However the Reel seems to be a little on the lower performance end. More Ball Bearings gives a smoother Reel experience, and the gear ratio should make it easy to reel fast and bring line in quickly. your drag should be easy to set, a spin on the spool is your best bet for ease of use.

I hope this helps a little BUT honestly the best choice is something that you "TEST" and "TRY" and end up finding that perfect fit for YOU. If your comfortable with it and it does what you need it to do than it should be a great choice regardless of what brand or cost.
