Understanding Plus 2 Handicaps in Golf: Stroke Allocation & Net Play

Question
A member at our club is a plus 2 handicap should he play at a zero or give us 2 additional strokes

Answer
Andy,

If he's a plus 2 then he plays at a plus 2. If you're playing a net event you would subtract your handicap from the gross score and he would add 2 strokes to your gross score. If your allocating strokes hole by hole and you're a 16 and he's a plus 2, you would receive 18 strokes.

Hope this helps,

Michael
