can a pga pro caddie for his son in competitons

Question
My 14 year old son plays golf at county level.  I wish to caddie for him,  one club has said no as I am a PGA Pro.

Where do I stand please -  as his dad and by job as pga pro

Answer
Bill:

I am not sure I have an answer, but as his dad, if that is allowed, you should be able to caddie for him (if a dad is permitted to caddie for his son/daughter).  I don't believe it's a PGA thing.  It's a dad issue.  Please check with your county officials who run the events and best of luck to you and him.
