hybrid clubs

when hitting with a hybrid club...i am confused on ball versus hand/shaft position? should my hands/shaft be behind, even or forward of the ball position...and where would that ball position be??thnx

Thanks for asking this question.

Hybrid has been introduced to help golfer hit better and easier. Of course, everything will depend on the lie of ball.  Assuming that ball lies reasonably normal, I think the player should adopt such swing that is closer to as when playing with 5 wood.   

I recommend you to experiment in a couple of differently ways- like 5 wood, like 4 iron. I don't recommend you to adopt swing of Driver, when hand/shaft would be slightly behind the ball.

If you still are confused, just try to do swing like using iron 3 or 4 including ball position and hand/shaft.  

In nutshell, hybrid club promotes a little bit of sweep swing, instead of down-blow swing.
