higher shots

Question
hi eddie: I just bought a ft-5 callaway driver with a 11 degree loft. I thought with a 11 degree loft hitting low shots would not be a problem. My shots are usually low shots.I would like to get a higher shot with my driver for more length. WHat way can you sugggest for getting a higher shot? thank you

Remember the sweet spot on new drivers is high on the face, so chances are you are hitting the ball with the bottom of the clubface, like we used to do with older drivers.  So tee the ball high, and start making some swings trying to hit the tee.  Focus a little lower on the ball so the contact with the clubface is just above the center of the face.  11 degrees of loft is plenty.  Also, make sure the shaft is the correct flex for you.  If you have trouble getting it airborne, the shaft might be too stiff.  A good clubfitter can really help you here.
