cobra L4V or Speed Pro D

Question
Hopefully you can help bc nobody else has been able to...I am trying to decide whether I should get a Cobra L4V X or a Speed Pro D 9.5. I plan to put an Aldila NV-65 in whatever I get in order to lower the trajectory. ( I hear they launch ridiculously high with the standard shafts). I am a 15 handicap. My swing speed is 115+, Ball speed is 170+, and I average anywhere from 280-305 off the tee. I recently hit these two clubs at a shop and my launch with the L4V was 13* at 280 yards. I hit a speed pro S 8.5* and the launch angle was 10* at 280 yards. I guess my question is; taking into account all variables and the prospective shaft, what is the right club for me? Please help me!! thanks!!

Answer
Chris,

First question - What type of golf course conditions do you play? is your course on average, a "fast track" or is it somewhat soft?

Next question - Do you play in windy conditions often?

Third question - You mention launch angle, ball speed, swing speed and yardage off the tee. When you hit both clubs were they similar in directional patterns? Accuracy is very important off the tee.

Now to your question. I looked on line and couldn't find the LV4X (last years model?) but did find the LV5X. I also looked at the Speed Pro S. Personally, I like the way the Speed Pro S looks. Looks are important but functionality is more important.

If you are accurate off the tee and like to work the ball, then I would recommend the Speed Pro S. If not, then the L4V.

Hope this helps,
