Loose Metal in Golf Club Head: Causes & Solutions
Question
I have a Taylor Made R7 425. When hitting a ball the other day it seems a loose piece of metal is now in my club head. I can hear is bounce around when I shake my club. I took the weights out to see if I could shake it out, but no luck. Can I easily get this out? Is this common? I bought the club used also. Thanks.
Answer
Kyle,
This has to be driving you crazy. I don't think it will hurt the playability of the club however. Two options. One take it to a golf club that does club repair. It's probably a piece of epoxy and he/she would most likely fix the problem at a minimal cost to you. The second option is to call Taylor Made's customer service department and see what they tell you to do. They may fix it at no cost to you. www.taylormade.com
Thanks for the question and let me know if I can help in the future.
