Aspects of the golf swing

Question
1.How can I "feel" where my hands are in the back swing.Let me elaborate, I don't have any sensation or feeling in my hands, arms when I am in my backswing and at top position in backswing. Is this a feasable thing to try to attain, could there be a dril that may accomplish what I am after?
2.I seem to come "off the Ball",in my backswing-takeaway,maybe even a lateral shifting of my upperbody. Is there something I can practice to avoid this, because I believe this has been a major cause for my losing distance.
3.Is there someway I can correct "coming over the top, or casting", when I am coming back down with the club.
4.I golf left-handed.My right arm is stronger than my left arm.I do everything in life comfortably with my right arm, essentially right handed.I should be a right handed player by this scenerio, but there is now way I could hit a beach ball with my right side.I think that because of this in my case, my right hand, arm is probably too dominant in my swing, is there any swing drill or alter stance or grip which would neutralize the right side or strengthen my left side.

Answer
Hey there and apologies for the delay....

1. Ha, very funny... I have had this problem for a while, and it STILL comes and goes.  Solution?  WORK.  How?  One of the tihngs you can do is have a mirror or dark glass to your right, make a back swing (you dont even need a club, just take any stick), freeze, and look... keep doing it until you can repeat the proper backswing 10-20 times in a row... I assume you know what a "proper backswing" looks like.  Then take some mock swings with what you think are good backswings, and then once in a while, freeze, and look again... so this is a fune tuning method and eventually, you will learn to develop your own feel by self correction.

2. Shoulder turn drill with hands across the chest, no club.  Torque your torso so that your left shoulder is over a point between the midpoint of your stance and your right foot's instep.  Do NOT make it go all the way to over your right foot.  Get that feeling set, then make some mock swings.  With a club, on the backswing, try to feel a 50/50 weight distribution, not a 20-80 or 3-070 they used to teach.  You really do not NEED a big lateral shift to hit professional golf shots.  In fact, the pros dont.

3. Casting and over the top moves are mostly caused by the left shoulder opening too fast.  Think about keeping your back to the target while making an arms swing.  You'll be amazed how easiy you can push hook or pull hook the ball.

4. Oops, well do the reverse of all the right footed stuff above......  being dominant with the lead arm is a great advantage in golf.  Lefties having stronger right arms have a great chance of being a good player.  The golf swing through impact is a lot like a one handed backhand.  Hit some tennis balls or simulate hitting them with your right hand and you will get the feel for what your right hand should be doing.  Also, what really helps is the one handed right hand shot, or if thats too much for you, then you can just keep both hands on impact and then let go with the right hand... I did this drill myself by letting go of the right hand and just releasing with my left, and I hit some of the best drives and fairway bunker shots and every shot you can imagine... again, golf is a leading arm dominant swing.
