Calculating Golf Ball Speed: Formula & Factors

Question
i would like to know what is the mathematic's formule to know the ball's speed when a golfer hits the ball.
Example: if i shoot the ball with a club's speed for ex. at 100mph, the ball's speed is :??
Tks for your answer...

Answer
Hi Franck,

The ball speed depends on the club speed, club loft and COR (coefficient of restitution. For today's drivers, the ball speed is equal to about 1.45 times the club speed. So, the simple formula would be BS = 1.45*CS, where BS = ball speed and CS = club speed.

Hope this helps.
