Question
How do I go about turning pro? I would also like to know who I need to talk to about getting in to q-school or is there a different way?
Thank You

Answer
Hi Scott:  There are two types of professionals Scott, members of the PGA and non-amateurs.  In order to be a pro, all you need do is declare yourself to be one and/or play in a competition with the intent of accepting prize money.

To enter tour school, visit www.pgatour.com and you'll either find the information or the phone numbers to use to get it.

As far as membership in the PGA of America to become a Club Professional, visit www.pga.com to learn about that.

There are several professional tours upon which you can hone your game in preparation for the fall tour school.  You can learn about those by googling "professional golf tours" to find the ones nearest you.

Good luck Scott!
