Breaking 90 - almost there

ANSWER: Lou:
Continue to work on your short game Lou.  Those needed few shots are not in drives.

QUESTION: I have the gap and the 64 down pat; just have to polish the Vokey 58 a little bit.  I actually get "PGA" appproach shots with the gap (you know, the ones that hit the green and roll backwards a couple feet).

The 9 wood (the ratty 29) IS my middle game (between 160 - 180 yd) and my trouble wood. In short, my golf course navigation tool.

My 7 wood is my goto fairway wood.

Short irons I can do in my sleep.

Right now my banes are driving (not terrible but not great either; just have to remember to not rush it), the 4 wood and 6-10 ft putts (I'm actually deadlier with 15 ft + putts).

Answer
Lou:

Practice 4-8 ft. putts alot.  Get yourself a driver with enough loft, probably 10-12 degrees, and make sure the shaft is fitted for you professionally.  The shaft is the most important part of it, so make sure it's the right one.  Most golfers do not have enough loft and hit drivers that have way to stiff a shaft for them.  Get fitted correctly and get yourself something you can hit.  Let technology help you.
