This is now a killer club in the arsenal

Question
I just got my hybrid 6 iron back from the pro shop.  It is a Nickent 3DX.  Originally it had a 75g graphite shaft that I cut 1 inch and put a bunch of lead tape on the head to bring the swingweight back up.  I had it reshafted with a True Temper Lite steel shaft and, after removing the lead tape, it comes in at D2.  Talk about great feel and consistency (I get 170-175 yards out of it now and pretty consistent)!  If I hit this club consistently, everything else follows.

My other two "goto" clubs are a slightly rusty 57 degree Titleist sand wedge and a Puma 29 degree 9 wood (that I hit about 180-185).

The other club that is pretty good is a Super Concord 24 degree 7 wood (Tight Lies head, steel shaft).

Also, I am hitting the heck out of the Cobra driver and the two Titleist fairway woods.

Answer
Hi Lou:
Sounds like you are just about set.....that is of course unless you keep tinkering with your clubs.  Good move changing shafts and not making the club so heavy.  No feel when you do that.  Don't forget to work on your short game Lou, that is where you save shots.
