Tailing/ Slicing

Question
I have a problem keeping the ball in the fairway of the tee box, I have a fast swing of about 110-125 mph the ball has a tendency to slice at the last minute or tail to the right about 220 yards after it has left the tee box. Could it be the distance that I'm standing away from the club, i stand about 15 inches from the grip of the driver from my body or could it be another issue ...?
I bought the Medicus Driver for Christmas and i'm about to practicing with it,do you think it would help this issue that i have with my driving ? . .  Any advise would be great to help me that you could give
             Thanks

Answer
Hello and thank you for asking.  Standing too far from the ball will hurt your swing more than you think.  It puts all the weight on the balls of your feet, and it is difficult to keep balanced while making contact.  Even on the driver, the hands should not be much more than about a foot or so away from the body... think of the hands more as hanging down by gravity rather than reaching out to the ball.

Shots will tail off when there is some fade spin on them.  Fade spin is caused by an open clubface at impact, and most likely an out to in impact pattern.  Keeping the ball closer to you at address, and making the backswing around your body rather than keeping your club in front of you all the time will help attack the ball from the insde while you will feel like you are almost flat footed from this new position.

The medicus can help, but it is not a cure all, and will not totally fix your game. The best way to fix your game is to go see a highly recommended PGA professional, even for half an hour, and take a lesson with a bunch of questions in mind.  If he does not answer you in satisfactory fashion, move onto another pro.  If 2 or 3 pros tell you the same thing, then you should probably work on that.
