Golf Rules: Can You Putt Out After Missing Your First Putt?
Question
once a player starts to putt, does he have the right to putt out after missing his first putt
Answer
Hi Charles,
Yes, he has the right to hole out after his first putt. Standard etiquette however would deter him from doing so if he has to stand in the line of another person's putt.
