Ben Hogan's Unique Achievement in Golf History
Question
We are looking for a very specific answer on this question: Ben Hogan did something on the tour in the 1940's that had never been done before & has not been duplicated since.
Answer
Hello Mike,
I don't think I've found what you are looking for. He won 13 times in 1946, 7 times in 1947 and 10 times in 1948 (Byron Nelson had already out-done these winning seasons) and he won the Vardon Trophy 3 times...but I don't know that that hadn't been done before and it's certainly been done since.
Sorry I couldn't help you. I would love to hear what it is...
Sincerely,
Paul Dolman
