Question
hello bob. i am a amputee golfer missing my right arm & hold a strong 10 handicap.I am getting ready to play in the amputee us open at bethpage in NY. I am very nervous & practice all the time. it seems like the closer to the tournament the more things are going wrong in my swing. my friends tell me it is a head thing. like all golfers i dwell on my last shot to much. do you have any help to get my mind strait and how to help calm nervs during the tournament. thank you very much for any help.
Answer
Why do you play golf? To worry and practice all the time? Do you find something in golf that is not usually out there? Are you having fun? Are you letting golf teach you?
Can you play good golf? What are you wanting to prove? What has golf given to you? Are you glad to be playing? Act like it. Have fun. Learn from it. Go play golf.
