Nordica skis

2016/7/22 11:05:43

Question
Hey Ron, I demoed Nordica's Speedmachine Mach 2s and was very impressed with the way they keep the tips down, regardless. Getting older, have less interest in speed, just looking for stability and control. What difference would I notice with the Mach 3s? I'm about 210lbs. and ski mainly Ohio and N.Y.

Answer
Hi Alan,

The Mach 3's are a bit less friendly and versatile than the 2's- but have much more grip and energy. I found the 2's to be just a bit folding at the tip, a little rock through the tail. The same rock exists in the SL Pro- a very nice ski otherwise. I love my Mach 3's (I can't ski the power), but I think it is punishing in the bumps, and crap in soft snow. This is where the Mach 2 is going to prevail.
