Longest Ski Runs in Europe: Vallées Blanche, France
Question
Where is the longest ski run in Europe please?
Answer
Dear Stuart --
In a good snow year, France's Vall閑 Blanche, has the world's, not just Europe's, longest lift-served ski run. This run is skiable for 13 miles from the Aiguille du Midi's 12,604-foot summit to the outskirts of Chamonix, a resort some 9,200 vertical feet below. There are many places along this run with sheer drop-offs. I was never so cautious skiing in my life, as I was there!
