Bindings?

Question
Hi,
I've decided on two bindings that I'm interested in.
1) Rome strut
2) Burton escapade

I've heard the toe cap bindings (Burton Escapade) are better for snowboarding, as they push your boot back into the bindings.  But the Rome bindings has a conformist strap technology, which is basically they are able to convert to a toe strap and the toe cap.

Which bindings out of these two would you recommend?  And do you know if the Rome's toe strap would be as efficient as the Burton's?  Thanks.

Answer
Linda,
I have used both types of toe straps and have found that burton's toe caps can cause more toe drag during toeside turns.  It is a small difference and can happen with the rome strap.  However with the rome strap you have the freedom to position the strap as you would a normal toe strap or at any angle in between.  Both straps are just as effective at pushing you're boot back.  I personally prefer the rome binding because it is more durable and the toe strap conforms a bit better to the boot without causing more toe drag.  There is little difference between the two toestrap styles so I suggest that you pick the binding that fits you're boot best with the most comfort.
