We live in Spring Lake, NJ,07762 - Monmouth County. 12 year old son interested in spring board instruction. What might be the nearest locations/coaches available for this pursuit ?

I looked up your city on Google Maps and it seems that the closest program I could find is in Hightstown, about 30 miles west.There is a team there called Ultimate Diving but I do not know which pool they train at. I found them by going to www.divemeets.com, clicking on 'Lists of Divers, Coaches and Teams' then at that page clicking on 'Teams'. A large list comes up of teams from all over the world.Look under AAU (Amatuer Athletic Union)and scroll down until you find teams in NJ. The coaches name and contact info are there.Also scroll way down to USA Diving for more teams under NJ.You should look under NCAA for NJ colleges that may have lesson programs for your son.

You can also go to www.usadiving.org. Click on Clubs and then Find A Club. Enter NJ and look for teams there.Most of the teams in NJ are far from the Atlantic coast.There is a team run by the coach at Rutgers (Fred Woodruff) but I do not know if that school is close to you.Also there are programs in Woodbury Heights, Cherry Hill,Bound Brook and Ewing.
