Adult Diving in Boston

Question
Hi,
I live in the Boston area and am over 30.  I enjoy spring board diving but I'm a beginner.  Although I have found a great place for my daughter to learn diving, I have been having a hard time finding an adult club or class in my area.  Do you know of anywhere I could go to continue learning?

Answer
Heather -

Here are some websites I suggest you visit to make contacts with divers, coaches and teams in your area:

www.mastersdiving.org - This is a national website for adult diving. Click on e-mail addresses and look for adult divers to contact in Boston who you can ask where it is that they dive. There is also a message board where you can ask for help finding adult diving in MA.

www.usadiving.org. Click on Clubs and then Find A Club. Enter MA and a list of teams will come up.There is a also a link to teams with websites and some are from Boston.

www.divemeets.com Click on divers, coaches and teams at the top of the home page. Then click on teams. A huge list of teams will come up under AAU teams and then down lower, USA Diving Clubs.
Click on clubs from MA and contact info will appear.

The two people who know the most about diving in Boston are Keith Miller, the coach at Harvard who runs the Charles River Diving team and Joe Chirico who runs Boston Area Diving. Keith's contact info is found at the USA Diving website and Joe's e-mail address is [email protected]. I am sure they can send you in the right direction.

Good luck in your search.
