Suggestions for gyms

Question
Hi this is Lael Wentland, diving from Kamiak High school (WA), I was wondering
if you knew of any tumbling programs where I can learn to be more comfortable
doing all the spins in the air for diving. I have had no experience in gymnastics
so do not know how to tumble in any way, twists are especially hard for me.

Answer
Hi Lael -

The closest gymnastics centers to you are found in Mukilteo at Gymagine (www.gymagine.com) and in Everett at Leading Edge (www.legym.com).
If you take any classes at these places, make sure that you tell them you are a high school diver and that learning somersaulting and twisting skills on a trampoline helps divers the most. You will need to do them in a safety belt so you do not fall off the tramp. Good luck.
