where can i find a place in sacramento or the surrounding areas to springboard or platform dive for recreation?

The area that you live in has no high diving platforms - only springboards, so the info about pools I am going to give you will only have boards.

Pools with boards are found at city and county pools as well as high schools and colleges. Check the web for info on which cities and schools have pools with boards.

I think the best way for you to find a pool you can dive at is by going to www.dosriosdivers.com. They are a diving team in the Sacramento area.
At this website, a YouTube video will start playing on the home page that will show a pool that you should be able to find by navigating your way around their website to see where it is. Talk to the coaches and divers on this team and I am sure they can tell abut other pools in your area with boards.
