Question
QUESTION: Hey Eric,
I am going to be swimming the 200 im soon and I just wanted to know if you can do an underwater pull-out on the breaststorke turn

ANSWER: Jake,
You should always do an underwater pull-out for breaststroke.  Whether you are swimming breast or an IM, you should always do the pull-out.  It's not illegal to skip it, but it's better to keep it in.  It's faster that way.

Best of luck.
Eric

QUESTION: I got 5th place in the 200 IM with a time 2:54, and I got 4th in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:20:55, third place out-touched me with a 1:20:44, but i am still going to regional so I am happy

Answer
That is great.  Congratulations.

Think about technique at regionals.  When someone touches you out by that little...it's usually something that you can work on for next time.  Think about really being quick into and out of your walls.  I am sure your underwater pullout helped as well.

Keep it up!
Eric
