I want know how much money the U.S sport organization will devote to an athlete(PHELPS) to win a medal?

This is outside of my expertise, needless to say the money can only affect his training efforts not his wins but the amount raised for his training etc. is not easily disclosed since it comes from private sources and National fundraising. Sorry I could not be of more help.
