Diving with Swim Goggles

Question
My 6-year-old wants to learn to dive (just from the edge of the pool for now), but doesn't like to go under water without goggles.  Is it safe to dive with swim goggles on?  If it's okay for her to dive in from the side of the pool with them, is there some level (spring board, high dive, etc.) at which it is not safe?  Thanks in advance.

Answer
Gayna--
It is perfectly safe to dive off the side with goggles on.  She will eventually need to learn to dive without her goggles though.  They are safe off a 3 meter springboard(low board), but I would not recommend going any higher.  Also if she is going to start doing somersaults and twists goggles are a definite no-no as eye damage can occur.
Hope this helps,
George
