QUESTION: hi. im about 135 pounds and 5foot 8. i am currently trying to gain weight. i have been counting calories to do so. i consume about 3,500 calories a day and am still only gaining about 1 pound every 2 weeks. any suggestions. what foods will get me the most calories so i dont have to gorge myself to get my 3,500 calories in each day. in your opinion how much weight should i gain?

ANSWER: Protein! Buy them at bodybuilding.org. They also have weight gainers. Honestly thats what I would've done if I ever had to gain weight. If you are wrestling then you should never go above 145 because of your height. The shorter you are for your weightclass, the stronger you are though you might lack the leverage advantage.

I am no nutritional expert but I've been told by my strength trainer to take protein shakes. He went to college and stuff to get his certification and has studied nutritional supplements. I'm pretty sure he knows more than both of us combined. I can't force you to take it but hey whatever.
