Unique Birthday Gift

Question
Hi Dave-
I read that you will not answer questions about how to get into professional wrestling and my question is NOT about that but it does have to do with wondering about a wrestling lesson.   I see that you are from Minnesota and so am I so that is why I chose to ask you the question.  My boyfriend has been a long time wrestling follower and his 30th birthday is coming up in August.  A few years ago, we drove by what looked like a wrestling school but I can't remember what the name of it was or where it was.  Anyway, he mentioned something about wanting to get in there for a few hours to learn how to take bumps, etc.  For his birthday I would love to surprise him with a private lesson at a wrestling school but besides listening to F4W podcasts on a nightly basis with him, I don't know much about this type of question.  Is this possible?  IF so, can you help point me in a direction of who to call to inquire about it?  Any advice would be appreciated.  I really want to make this happen for his birthday.  Thank you in advance for your time!

Answer
Hi Rachel.  Thanks for the question. Always nice to hear from a fellow Minnesotan. I am so sorry for the late reply.  I thought I had changed my settings to not accept questions for a while, but I must have forgot to.  I've just been really busy lately, and haven't had a lot of free time.

Anyway, there are a couple of reasons I don't answer questions regarding pro wrestling schools, and getting into wrestling in general:

1.  I am not a wrestler, and have never been involved in the business.  I don't know that much about wrestling schools, and I guess over time I felt uncomfortable answering questions regarding them.

2.  When I first started answering questions on here, it seemed like 75% of the questions I got were wrestling school related.  I just got tired of answering the same questions over and over again, especially when my previous answers are posted for anyone to see.

As far as your question goes, I can't really help you too much.  I would guess that most wresting schools don't have individual lessons, but I could be wrong.

Your best bet would be to do a Google search of pro wrestling schools in Minnesota, and then call or email them to see what they offer.

Thanks again for the question, and sorry again for the late reply.  Let me know if you have anything else.

Have a great night!

Dave
