how?

Question
QUESTION: okay, so im a high school girl who loves wrestling and i was wondering if there was anyway possible to become a pro-wrestler for WWE when i get older and if so, how. also, if so what do i need to do for college?

ANSWER: Hi Jenna.  Thanks for the question.

First off, you don't need a college education to become a pro wrestler.  To be honest, you don't need even need to finish high school.  Obviously, I do recommend finishing high school and going to college, but the truth is you don't need to do either to be a pro wrestler.

As far as what you need to do, that's pretty simple:  You need to find a pro wrestling school.  It's just as the name implies, a school that teaches you how to become a pro wrestler.  There are several schools throughout the U.S. and around the world.  You can do a simple Google search to find a school in your area (sorry, but since I've never been to one, I can't recommend one for you).

If you can make through a pro wrestling school, you will most likely work on the independent scene, and then you just have to hope that someone affiliated with WWE notices you, and brings you in for a tryout, or even signs you to a developmental deal.

Thanks again for the question.  Let me know if you have anything else.

Have a great night!

QUESTION: thank you and,, what if there arent any schools around me like that, im just a freshman and my mom doesnt even like the idea of anything wrestling.. but would it be a good choice to go to college and then go to florida for a couple year and try to train at FCW and hope WWE sees potential in me?

Answer
Well, like I said, I think finishing high school and going to college is always a good idea.  It's not easy to make it big in pro wrestling, and to be honest, more fail then succeed.  At least if you go to college and graduate, you will have a degree to fall back on if wrestling doesn't work out for you.

As far as FCW goes, from what I've heard, it is not for beginners.  I've heard the trainers are tough, and they will basically let you know right away if they feel you have what it takes.  Their job is to create superstars, and they aren't going to have a lot of patience.

From what I've heard, it's better to go to another wrestling school, see if you can make it through that, and then possibly look into FCW. A trainer at an independent wrestling school is probably going to be more patient with you, and might be more willing to work with you.

Have a great night!
