Stars Greatest Music-related Moment Involved Roller Skates

A celebrity has revealed that one of his greatest music-related moments involved roller skates.

Speaking to the Guardian, Luke Steele from Sleepy Jackson and Empire of the Sun noted that he was playing in a little show in New York with his father, Nick, who had never been to the US before, when he experienced his most memorable time.

He said: "There were these black bouncers from the future and me on laptop and electronics. My dad was a bit shocked to see my sci-fi alter ego going straight into this Martin Luther King speech; it was pretty full on."

Then his father came out and played songs by Bob Dylan, JJ Cale, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson, among other artists.

According to Steele, he "just blew the crowd away".

Then, Heather Graham made an entrance wearing roller skates, the vocalist and songwriter said.

The 30-year-old also revealed he got a chance to try out roller skating too by borrowing the items from Graham.

In return, she got to try out his guitar, he added.

Steele went on to state: "We did a duet, with Jack Black on the drums. It was very surreal for me, a young musician from Perth, the most isolated city in the world, where usually a gig attracts a couple of fat drunk guys."

Then the night disappeared into a "long-distance dream" and at one point he refused to go on stage unless he got a box of Krispy Kremes, he noted.

After all the roller skating and music playing was over, the group left the venue and went to find Michelle Pfeiffer, he added.

Steele was born into a musical family, with his father playing blues guitar and harmonica, his sister, Katy, starring as the vocalist in indie rock band Little Birdy and his Brother, Jake, playing keyboards for Injured Ninja.
