Clownfish are found in tropical and subtropical climates including in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. The water temperatures the can tolerate range from 23-29 degrees Celsius. clownfish are also sensitive to changes in the pH level of the water, and require a pH level between 8 and 8.4. In addition to warm temperatures and the right pH level, Clownfish inhabit warm, shallow waters rich in coral reefs. This ecosystem provides them with food and shelter from predators.
