Effective Winter Lake Fishing Rig: A Versatile Helicopter Setup

THIS helicopter rig is excellent for catching a wide variety of species, especially in the winter on lakes.

To construct it, use a small swivel trapped between two float stops on 8 lb main line.

Then tie a four inch hook length of 6 lb line to the swivel and tie on a size 16 hook.

Position this about five inches above a maggot feeder which is tied to the end of your main line.

It’s a good idea to add a tapered rubber sleeve over the swivel to act as a boom to avoid tangles.
