Baseball Sweetspots: Enhance Glove Targeting for Youth Players - Legality & Training Tips
Question
I have a brand new product on the market called "Baseball Sweetspots" for
youth ball players. Its a yellow bullseye patch that sticks to the sweetspot of
the glove helping the players focus on the target (the glove) like never before.
Is it legal to use in a game? It is for young players thou older may need it
too! Kids play "catch" not "fetch" with Baseball Sweetspots! How can I get the
word out to coaches that thie is a great training tool for Tball and Coach Pitch
Answer
I doubt that would be allowed in a game, unless that marking was an integral part of the glove. However, for practice/training, there would be no problem with that. As for marketing the product -- I'm not sure how you would approach that. You certainly should try presenting the concept to the youth baseball leagues (Little League. Pony, etc) to see about possible product endorsements.
