How to be consistent with my bowling release

Question
Hi,

I find my self being a left handed bowler missing my bowling strike pocket a little bit to the left. But then again I can hit 2 strikes in a row before I start missing my pocket for the next 3 shots ,I release my ball with a flat palm of my hand because I have not master the proper release for a good spin hook on the ball. I guess they call my release a spare release or a dead hand release. I focus on my arrows as my target but my ball release sometimes drifts a little to much and can not recover. I tried moving my starting board Pont but it doesn't always help. Can you give me some type of counting timing for my release that will go with my swing so I can time everything together. I am a 4 step release. Thank you

Answer
Dana,
Every shot thrown effects the lane condition. As a lefty your "side" is less traveled, so occasionally you get in your own way, I'd suspect.

A proper fitting ball lets go of you instead of you letting go of it. Do you have your own ball? The question sounds like someone struggling with a house ball.

Giving you a more mechanical way to keep time isn't the answer. You need to embrace easy, relaxed and you'll develop your timing. Your working hard to control everything. Work hard on relaxing and feeling what's easy. Your body all ready wants to do things easy. let it. Get a coach to help.

Thanks for the question.
